After years on the runway and traveling the world, Terri Coleman and Tove Nord returned to the Island of Capri, one of their favorite spots. For months, they lived on the island and learned the art of cobbling from the true remaining masters.
Terri and Tove work tirelessly to source the best materials from around the globe. Leathers from Italy, jewels from vintage flea markets in Paris. The result is a balanced collection of gorgeous, yet comfortable Capri Sandals.
Tuccia Di Capri is thrilled to bring the timeless glamour of the custom-made sandal of the Italian Riviera to South Beach.
Favored by socialites and fashion icons around the world, the custom made sandals of Capri have held a place in fashion history as a chic and must have classic accessory. Tuccia's in-house cobblers will help you create the perfect style and a "made-to-measure" fit. Trained on the Isle of Capri by one of Italy's foremost families of shoemakers, Tuccia upholds the highest standard of craftsmanship, and offers a singular retail experience.
Tuccia's styles range from Classic, to Riviera Glam. The classics are timeless styles, named after the icons who wore them and made them famous. The Riviera Glam line is a modern interpretation of the classics, with a fresh sensibility, that takes direction from the latest "tendence de mode".

HISTORY

Legend says that Emperor Tiberius, who chose the isle of Capri as his home, used to wear sandals with a rigid sole and long straps interlaced around his ankles. Soon, all of Capri residents could be seen wearing variations of these sandals, with richly colored straps dyed in Capri's colors of blue, green and yellow .
The ancient art of making these sandals is still alive and thriving in Capri. Small workshops, filled with worn tools, multicolored straps and hand crafted leather soles are tucked in charming corners with cobblers showcasing a multitude of styles and telling clients, "Just choose your style and your sandals will be ready on the way back from your stroll".
One of Capri's foremost families of shoemakers are the Faiellas. The last in this long line of artisans is Vincenzo Faiella (Enzo as we fondly refer to him). Enzo's stories of his ancestors making sandals for this princess or that socialite are as rich as a well-woven tapestry, and it is from this maestro that the cobblers of Tuccia have learned their craft. We at Tuccia are dedicated to representing Capri's beautiful art of the custom sandal to the highest standard. And as our maestro Enzo would say "is good, Bellissima!".
